Fire News Submission Guidelines
The editors at Fire News welcome the following submissions:
- Action Shots – Fires, MVAs & Other incidents
- Awards and Honors
- Up Close & Personal – up close shots of members in action (please identify members)
- Group shots of firefighters after an incident, training or event
- Family Corner – father & son/daughter, grandfather, father & son, etc., in the fire service
- Junior Program photos
- Looking Back – large incidents from 10+ years ago
- Antique Apparatus
- Training and Drills
- Obituaries
- Events/Announcement of Upcoming Events & Fundraisers (min 2 months in advance)
- Probies
- Women Fire/EMS Service
- EMS Response & Activities
- Ladies Auxiliary
(Include Who, What, Where, When & Why - single space & Times New Roman size 12 font)
Do’s and Don’ts of photo submissions:
- All photos should be high resolution 200 DPI
- Please submit one story per email, DropBox or WeTransfer
- Cell phone photos should be sent in actual size
- Emailed submissions cannot be over 20 MG
- Photos should have no filters and not be edited (other than size)
- No license plates in photos if possible
- Remove Watermarks
